The Derrick Hall Pro-State Foundation, a certified 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in January, 2013 by Arizona Diamondbacks President & CEO Derrick Hall as a comprehensive tool for those who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and their families to help them understand the challenges and choices they face. From the moment individuals are told they have cancer, there are so many thoughts that race through their mind that it is nearly impossible to focus on what lies ahead. The Pro-State Foundation provides the outreach necessary to help patients and their loved ones with information regarding treatment options, available sources of social support and appropriate exercise and diet regimens that allow them to maintain a “pro” state of mind.

Nearly one in every six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and almost 250,000 new cases are diagnosed each year, with almost 30,000 men succumbing to the disease on an annual basis, according to the American Cancer Society. It is the second-leading cause of cancer death in American men, behind only lung cancer but there are millions of cases of men who beat the disease and live long and healthy lives. Derrick Hall is one of those men and with each and every visitor to this site and every dollar donated to the cause, millions of people around the world and their families can be impacted in a positive way.
